Nowadays, hot melt adhesive has been widely used in medical protective equipment, daily hygiene products, automated packaging, tape labels, electronic appliances, automotive interiors, home appliance assembly and other industries.

For example, hot melt adhesive is used to connect and fix the nose bridge strip on a medical mask with a non-woven fabric surface; hot melt adhesive is also used to composite the materials of disposable protective clothing and medical mattresses; and the lids of disinfectant wipes are bonded and fixed. , also using hot melt glue.

1. Bonding of mask beams

There are many types of masks, but they all have nose bridge strips, which are used to fix the mask on the bridge of the nose, effectively isolating the virus and ensuring smooth exhalation. Most of the nose bridge strips are thin aluminum strips, which have a certain strength, but are also easy to bend, making it easier to wear the mask. The hot melt adhesive is first applied to the aluminum plate, then cut into nose bridge strips and pasted on the mask production line.

2. Medical protective clothing waterstop

The production of medical protective clothing mainly uses equipment such as lockstitch machines, overlock sewing machines, and lamination machines to cut, splice, fasten, and bond rubber strips on non-woven fabrics that meet the requirements. After functional finishing with "repellent" (water-repellent, blood-repellent, alcohol-repellent, and anti-static) functions, it is made into a medical protective clothing consisting of a hooded top and pants.

3. Disposable protective clothing composite materials

Hot melt adhesive is used in the composite of PE breathable film and water-repellent non-woven fabric. The bonding strength is required to achieve the effect of breaking materials on both sides. Some medical protective clothing with higher requirements will use PUR hot melt adhesive.

4. Disposable protective mattress material composite

The composite of protective mattresses is similar to that of protective clothing. Hot melt adhesive is used in the composite of PE breathable film and water-repellent non-woven fabric, and the bonding strength is required to achieve the effect of breaking materials on both sides.

5. Use hot melt glue to cover the disinfectant wipes

Disinfectant wipes play an important role in eliminating viruses and reducing infection. However, the bonding problem of the dehumidifying wipes cover is the bonding between the hard ABS cover and the soft PET or PP film (difficult-to-adhere materials). It requires strong adhesive force and sufficient adhesion at lower temperatures. It has high strength and must be able to withstand certain high temperatures (during container transportation). Hot melt adhesive solves this problem very well because of its fast curing and excellent bonding strength.
